It's ALIVE!!! JoomlaDay Detroit

jdaysiteAttending a JoomlaDay is an experience like no other. For many, it is the pivotal point at which a user no longer sees Joomla as just a means to an end, but rather, it becomes "real." To see the actual living, breathing people who build Joomla and the thousands of wonderful extensions and templates is like fitting the last peice of a puzzle. You can ask questions, mingle, have a few drinks (at select JDays) or photobomb a group pic! There are speaker sessions to attend and discussions as well. Essentially, Joomla Days bridge the gap between the Joomla CMS and Platform and all of us who make our living because it exists.

Joomla User Group Detroit Launches a
JoomlaDay Detroit Landing Page Announcement!

With a gulp (a very, very big one too) I pressed the button. At that moment, Joomla Day Detroit became real. It is going to happen. This is completely uncharted territory for Joomla Detroit. Organizing something at this level is scary, but it WILL happen.

On the JoomlaDay Detroit landing page, there's a email signup. I will be running periodic updates on the progression of the "JDay" through email.

We are still more or less in the implementation phase of the regulation, learning to look at personal data processing in a new way. As webmasters or site administrators we also may have received a new role, even if we didn’t ask for it: the role of a data processor. This article is part of GDPR overview: Decrypting the regulation in series.
