When Mautic hit the scene, just months ago, it took the Internet Marketing Automation space by storm. Not only was it a new alternative to Mailchimp, Aweber, Hubspot and the other tools internet marketers use, but it is also 100% free. Mautic also compiles applications like LeadPages with your lead cultivation tools for a single complete package.
Joomla Detroit, along with many others identified the power and potential that Mautic held for just about every website. As such, Son Koral, Organizer of the Joomla User Group reached out to good friend and Joomla confidant, David Hurley, founder of Mautic, Joomla Community Manager and Open Souce Evangalist to partner up for the first ever organized Mautic Meetup.
The meetup was held at Space360, LLC in Royal Oak, MI and David presented via Google Plus hangout. After quickly recapping the Introduction to Mautic presentation from the January 28th Webinar, David quickly dove into the administration section of Mautic, featuring highlights of the application, including CRM and Social Media integrations. He also demo'ed email lead lists, campaigns, forms and landing pages.
The presentation was recieved by bloggers, small business owners, integrators and developers that used not just Joomla!, but Wordpress, Drupal and other content management systems. Each attendee received free goodies from Mautic and were personally welcomed by the JUG Detroit organizer as they arrived.
The benefits of using Mautic were clear, and the interest level was high. Attendees were excited to try Mautic for their own sites and saw how invaluable it was to running a successful online business.
Mautic is the first ever open source marketing automation platform which gives every business the ability to create powerful marketing strategies, manage lead nurturing, and monitor site visitors. Perhaps most importantly, Mautic is available at no cost. A completely free marketing automation platform!
Don't worry if you missed this meetup because David and Son are planning to continue the Mautic meetups as a separate meetup group, to be announced in March, 2015.
