Joomla 3.3 Beta Released

Joomla 3.3
Hello All!
Just wanted to let you know that yesterday Joomla! 3.3 Beta was released! Everyone in the Joomla community is really excited about this new release and here's why:

  • Raised security levels with Bcrypt password hashing
  • 2 factor authentication with Google or Yubikey
  • A better "remember me" functionality
  • More jQuery use with over 25 elements rewritten
  • Imporved Router performance and OOP based router classes

One of the biggest features in Joomla 3.3 is the rollout of Microdata integration right into the CMS! Joomla is the first CMS that includes Microdata out of the box!

Test drive the beta here:

Keep in mind that this is only a Beta. It is not for use on or as a production website. There is no upgrade path for this build, so if you want to try it out, keep in mind that it's for testing purposes only.

Production release is scheduled to be released on April 22.
